Born in Ontario, Walter Collins developed a deep passion for art during his family's travels across Europe, sparking his interest in sketching at just 5 years old. As his career gained momentum, particularly following Expo '86, Walter gravitated towards the west coast, settling in Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island. His artistic talents are diverse, ranging from contemporary airbrush portraits and intricately detailed pencil sketches to lamp black interpretations of wildlife and the majestic landscapes of the west. Alongside these works, Walter has spent two decades carving west coast wildlife in Soapstone, Argillite, Alabaster, and Wonder stone, sharing his artistry throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe.
